I might be concerned if Toronto was only 5 behind, because the Sox have 7 games against them and they are hot. The Jays are 7 games down. I'm not worried about the Twins. They still have to play the Rays and the White Sox. The Red Sox are ahead of both the White Sox and the Twins. They'll be busy knocking each other off. It will be hard for the loser of that battle to catch the Red Sox.

Toronto is a concern because they are red hot and have had their way (and then some) against the Sox. At the very least a split is needed in this 4 game set with road trip to Tampa and Toronto coming up

The Red Sox are safe if they take 3 of 7 from the Jays and 1 from the Rays. This weekend they'll miss Halladay who pitched tonight.
