The Matt Cassell we saw tonight, I wouldn't take over more than about 6 of those guys, or at least it wouldn't be a clear-cut thing.

As a scout says, if you see it once it's there. With Matt Cassell, it's there.

Quoted again because I really can't believe someone thinks this is true.

Ask Doug Williams what he thinks of this.

Of course not. But how are we being "pussies" in the GT?

I said there were a lot, not all.

Props to you for backing your team the whole way.

You dispute the Pats would not be a better offensive team with ANY of those guys?

I donno about him, but I do. Matt Cassel has met or exceeded every expectation we've had on him and if you take the blinders and look at what he's actually DONE, rather than what he was before this year, he's been really really solid.

Fact - any of those guys help the Pats beat the Colts, and this game doesn't matter.

I disagree. Have you actually watched Cassel play. He's a good player. This is a pretty arbitrary argument, because your statement can never be proven, nor can mine.

Ouch' date=' FG range.[/quote']

Gave it a good try. Need a turnover now. I do not want to have to turn on the TV all weak to hear the New York Jets ballwashing the entire ESPN crew is desperate to start serving us.

Keep drinking the Kool-Aid, son.

A scout said he could be good and then he played good he must be good!!!!

Seriously, I apoligize for being somewhat negative with 1:15 down by 7 with no timeouts left. The sucsess rate of a touchdown in that situation is very small. Thats what I was pointing out.

I see, thanks. I haven't been a Pats fan in a season worse than 9-7, but only because I wasn't old enough to appreciate them in 2000 or before. But based on other football teams and other sports, I know how quickly everything can change. It's nice to consistently be good, but eventually we'll go back to mediocre/suck, so I enjoy it while I can.

34 yarder for the win now.

Easy when you don't expect anything from the guy.

7 TD passes in 9 games. OFFENSIVE JUGGERNAUT

Take a good hard look at the team Cassel has a winning record with.

Take a good hard look at his numbers tonight.

Let go what Cassel used to be. He is not what he used to be. There are not a lot of QB's I would take over Cassel as he's played over the last 3 games, even if we lose tonight.

Defense blew this...we had all the momentum, overcame tons of mistakes and blown calls, miraculous ending to send it to OT....and the D lets the Jets go down the field twice when it mattered most without giving our O a chance

Jets win it' date=' 34-31.[/quote']

The kind of overwhelming victory that will ensure that ESPN will let us all know just how decisively the Jets beat down the Patriots on their home turf.

I think I will just leave the TV off.

Defense screwed over Matt Cassel. If they'd held on the drive in the 4th and in overtime, Cassel would have been the decisive MVP of the game.

Cassel has all-world offensive talent surrounding him. Any one of those guys on my list could fall out of bed and score 21 points with Moss, Welker, Gaffney, Watson, and that O-line. Not to mention the defensive line of the Pats is among the best in football.

He's had three nice games (although before tonight his rinky dink passes didn't result in TDs - and yes I know he took more shots tonight) - but if you're pleased with 6-4 that's your prerogative. The Patriots have the easiest schedule in the league.

what does that mean?

Jesus f***ing Christ, for your whining about the lack of holding calls.

The Pats should not have even been in this game, if not for the Jets completely blowing this would have been a 10+ point loss.

Is Cassel the MVP then?

Nobody should be saying Cassel is Brady, but he's gotten better each game and hasn't had a bad game in a month. To give that stat is worthless considering the situation and the progression......not to mention stats aren't very useful in football

I disagree right now about' date=' Bulger, Anderson, Garcia, Garrard, Schuab, and maybe even Kerry Collins (Cassel has done more for his team, he has won games. Granted Collins had a good game last week, but he has been very very mediocore this season.)[/quote']

Garcia ? lolwut

Garcia is an excellent quaterback who is very underated IMO

and I would definately take the other 5 before cassel

Not bad for a team that loses TOM f***ING BRADY, who is arguably the best quarterback of all time. Not to mention two running backs, Harrison and now Thomas. Thats a big hit to take, and they are still 6-4. Not bad, dont you think?
