From the Globe Blog:

Francona said he's taking a lot of grief from both Pedroia and David Ortiz over the lineup, Pedroia who keeps saying, "It's about time" and Ortiz, who jokingly said he will retire.

It's very difficult for me to bet against the Red Sox, but with this lineup and this kid on the mound against Buehrle, this is a lock win for Chicago.

there is something to be said about young pitchers making a debut...nobody has faced him or has a real good feeling for what he throws.

....can't say much for the lineup, I love the size difference between our #3 and #4 hitters

i like that he makes these hitters get off the plate if he can locate his pitches his stuff seems good enough to be a bottom of the rotation starter

He has a lot of talent. He was a 1st round draft pick and soxprospects has this to say:

Bowden is a big righty starter with a top-of-the-rotation ceiling, presently projecting as a solid third starter at the major league level.
