I was at the August 3rd game against the A's. I was sitting on the third base side not too far from the visitor's dugout. I had a good view of Heidi Watney as she sits over by the third base camera. What a beauty. The guys behind her didn't mind one bit that she was blocking their view when she was doing her in-game spots.

Lowrie getting it done! Wish I saw the last inning but I was already headed off to work MDC found himself in a jam but was able to wriggle out of it. Very surprised to hear Paps wasnt sent back out, especially with not seeing a lot of action recently and tomorrow being an off day. Good to see the offense and bullpen not give up in this one... Crisp with the game tying homerun aginst AJ Burnett!! Who knew?

 

Sox gain a game on the rays, back to 4.5 games. White Sox won but the Twins lost another one to fall to 1.5 games back in the Wild card Standings

 

Very big series coming up, the obvious W thus far is Byrd vs Ponson

Byrd vs. Ponson is anything but a sure W. Ponson has been surprising, to say the least. And we're sending out, well, Paul Byrd.

I really hope Lugo never sees the field when he gets healthy. Seriously, Jed Lowrie is a breath of fresh air at short stop. He makes plays, has great gap power and hits in the clutch situations. No more Lugo.

While yes Ponson has been having an unexpectedly good year... he is still the old Ponson when he faces Boston. See his last start vs Boston, 7 runs in 4 innings

He's 3-3 with a 5.46ERA and a 1.6WHIP in 10 games for the yankees. He hasnt been good for us. He hasnt even been serviceable. He's been below average

Didn't he have a pretty good stretch of games which we're not too far removed from? I'm not saying it continues, but he has been surprising recently.
