Kilo, you're too sharp to do the payroll thing.

 

The Yankees were not setup to take the injuries that we took. Your FO understood the age thing better, and losing Schilling was a given. If Wang was hurt before spring training, it's easier to compensate than during the season.

 

I don't cry disadvantage with payrolls.

 

But I also don't think you can sit there and expect sympathy for injuries, especially when your team is best equipped to handle them.

Think we're looking at the next Koufax? He's already been dominant. He's gotten one no-hitter, he's even put up some better numbers than Koufax's beginnings years. Just an observation for now.

No, probably the next Andy Pettitte....but I'd gladly take that.

Okajima or Masterson needs to be the 8th inning guy.

 

I'd probably go with Masterson because of his sinker... if the 8th inning guy is in the game I prefer the ball on the ground.

 

Jima's coming around too, but has his Okie-Dokie gotten that sharp dip back?
