well, the fact is that he isn't the player he once was. he no longer is a .320, 40 HR, 130 RBI guy but over a full season, he's still a .310, 30 HR, 100 RBI guy

 

he's gone from being elite to very good and maybe stuff like faking injuries, shoving old guys, slapping teammates and calling out the FO is fine for an elite player, but not for a very good player

Yeah, the throw was bad, but I doubt its worth the risk. It was pretty shallow.

To state the obvious, that could have been so much more. A-Rod got unlucky, but the ABs by Nady and Cano were very poor, especially considering they both got ahead 2-0 in the count. That might have been their chance, but anything can happen I guess.
