Make them see the value? While I'm sure they put their best used car salesman face on, sometimes you can't make people see things the way you want. The only other option is to cave to their demands for more, which, if you feel you are already offering more, is bad business.

 

I'm suggesting they aren't to be held accountable. I'm just reluctant to throw around things like "want it more" without the specifics regarding the offers / demands.

ORS, you know that I hate everything about the Yankees, but if they were able to fleece their trading partners, our FO was out manuevered. Maybe they are better at promoting their prospects. I don't know the details, but the results lead me to conclude one of two things: either the Yankees outmaneuvered the Red Sox FO and did their job beter or our FO didn't want to make a move. They gave us a pretty good indication that they are not going to do anything by their pronouncement earlier this week or last that the "answers were inhouse." Also, I do not believe that the yankees FO is more talented, so I am leaning towards concluding that the Yankees FO wants it more this year.
