At what point does Mr. Comeback... and back.... and back.... and back.... hurt his HoF chances?

At no point. The 44 member panel consists of a media representative that covers the sport from each NFL city (2 from NY). Favre is universally loved by the media. Despite any claims of how overrated he is/was, or the circus he's become now, he was consistently a top QB in the league for over a decade. He took the field every game. He's a lock, and he should be.

He'd have to Pacman Jones a strip club to not make the Hall of Fame. If we've learned one thing, it's that the media loves Brett Favre. They spend a quarter of every Monday Night game talking about him, no matter who's playing.

Easy is a loose term, finishing 11-5 with no running backs, linebackers eligible for AARP,2 of the front 3 needing surgery and a defensive backfield that is full God awful is good football, add into the mix the emergence of Matt Cassell and we had a pretty good year..11-5 is generally a lock for the playoffs and based on what ive seen this winter the pats wouldve had a pop against anyone.

Brett Favre still sucks and the fact that he simply wont go away like the dead Mississippi BullWeevil that he is tells me he needs the audience...Eventually he will be carried off the field in a stretcher if he shows up to play next year and I cant understand why the Jets owner hasnt moved on based on the beatdown his teamates are giving him via the media..

When a douchebag like Thomas Jones rips you its time to move on.

maybe his sister needs a new triggerman for her drivebys?

lulz

Without the tearful public ceremony that accompanied his retirement announcement from the Green Bay Packers just 11 months ago, quarterback Brett Favre has instructed agent Bus Cook to inform the New York Jets Wednesday that he plans to retire.
