Weather update

Posted by Gary Dzen, Boston.com Staff June 23, 2008 04:26 PM

Looks like the weather might have an impact on tonight's game as well. Here's the latest update from the Red Sox PR department:

The current weather forecast (provided by the Red Sox private weather service, Meteorlogix) in the vicinity of Fenway Park calls for a possibility of scattered rain showers during the afternoon and evening hours.

The Fenway Park gates will open at the regularly scheduled time of 5:05 p.m., and the Red Sox hope that tonight’s game with the Arizona Diamondbacks will begin at the scheduled time at 7:05 p.m. However, the Red Sox want to alert our fans to the current forecast and the possibility of delay.

This forecast is of course subject to change as the day progresses. Additional updates will be provided as necessary.

It started to rain shortly before the clubhouse opened up to the media at 3:30 p.m. It subsided now, but The National Weather Service forcast for Boston tonight calls for a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms

GTFO.

Who knew?

Long run for Upton to shag Manny's RF fly--a lot of MLB right fielders wouldn't have made that play.

I guess that Boston is trying to allow Dan Haren a shot at a complete game by swinging early...

Nice play by Lowell.

Understatement. That catch saved a probable double down the line, and it was curving away from Mikey as he left his feet to snag it.

MLB Gold Glove-caliber play.

No great play on Upton's drive...man on second. :(

Great at bat by Tek, getting a double on the seventh pitch. Young played the carom surprisingly well--Tek hustled.

Unbelievable catch by Haren...wow.

Heidi Watney has changed the makeup. I like it.

She is wicked hot up close. Nice rack as well which I can personally verify as she bent down in front of the dugout after the game yesterday and I got quite an eyeful. She's a definite hottie.
