Lets keep up that thing we've been doing pretty consistently in Fenway. Do it.

Fat Boy vs. Boy Wonder.

Hernandez (3-5, 3.29) v. Colon (3-0, 3.50)

It's nice to see Hernandez pitching like we all thought he would. He was dominant against the tigers, but this ain't no cat and mouse game in Boston. Put up or shut up, king felix, we've been ok at fenway, and we're pretty fired up if you didn't notice.

Heres to hoping Paul Pierce put in a call to Manny about getting over some knee trouble and he and Youk can put aside what I'm going to call PuddingGate.

Story has it that Youk ate the last snack pack pudding out of the dugout cooler after Manny had "called it".

WIN.

How 'bout a little man-up mojo from pierce and coco? We're a little banged up, but we have the other right handed dough boy going tonight. Man up.

In his last seven starts, King Felix is 1-5 with a 4.67 ERA. The ERA is mediocre, not bad, but he has only averaged 3.29 runs of support per game this year, possibly because he is the Seattle Mariners' ace pitcher.

Bartolo Colon has a 3.50 ERA in his three starts. He has enjoyed 6.92 runs of support per game this year, possibly because he is a very fat has-been, a man rivaling David Wells in the potential to self-destruct with every pitch.

You know, David Wells enjoyed 6.93 runs per game of support with the 2005 Red Sox. I know not whether a certain has-been quality or a tendency to corpulence might be a common reason for a pitcher's getting run support, but for tonight I can only hope.

Hey, David Wells was no has-been, he had a rubber arm remember? Wow, I'm posting a lot, being over-caffinated and bored at work is not good news for you all. Good luck dealing with me.

I think Colon has much less of a has-been air about him and much more poetential for a comeback to a continuing career than Wells did. I can see Colon pitching for five or six more seasons comfortably, though never Cy Youngish again.

Manny sits out the game vs. a RHP.

Chris Carter sits on the bench.

I want to string up Terry Francona by his teeny little scrotum and let him hang upside down until enough blood gets to his feeble brain to make a reasonable decision.

Carter was optioned to Pawtucket for Moss.

Yeah, I noticed that the 25-man roster had Moss, not Carter as you posted. It wasn't on the BDC Extra Bases blog; got link?

Still want to string up somebody by the scrotum for not giving Carter a better chance...

Shitttttttt. Terrible play by Colon. Lugo or Pedroia weren't even that close to the bag when Colon let that fly. So far it's cost him 2 runs.

Incorrect. Little League fundamentals - throw the ball where the fielder will be, not where he is. That's on Pedroia, he should have been the one covering.

PS BOW BEFORE JD DREW

Fair enough. Haha wow, I didn't realize how hard Manny shoved Youk last night.

Man, we have 3 hits with no runs, and they have 1 hit with 2 runs. Our H:R ratio is all f***ed up. What do we do?

Wake the f*** up. Seattle is weaksauce, but they are still an MLB team. Give 'em 30 or more outs and they'll beat you.
