http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/logos/38x45/tex_38x45.gif #31 Jason Jennings, RHP (0-3, 8.79)

Scouting Report:

Rangers: Jennings has lost all three starts this season, and he allowed six earned runs in 4 2/3 innings on Monday. When manager Ron Washington was asked whether he was concerned, he said, "Not yet. The next time it?s time to give him the ball, we'll give it to him." Jennings has a 2-0 career record against the Red Sox, but he hasn?t pitched against them since 2004. He won his only start at Fenway Park, allowing three hits and no runs in seven innings -- but that was on June 11, 2002. Jennings was 16-8 that season.

Red Sox: Lester is growing frustrated with his inability to pitch deep into games. Control continues to be the problem. In his last start, Lester walked five and allowed four runs over 4 1/3 innings. He threw 97 pitches, 55 of which were strikes. This will be Lester's first start against the Rangers since his Major League debut in June 2006. In that game, Lester gave up five hits and three runs over 4 1/3 innings.

I'ma go with a little Boondock Saints Mojo.

And Shepherds we shall be For thee, my Lord, for thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomeni Patri Et Fili. Spiritus Sancti.

Now win.... f*** ASS.

He's actually throwing strikes tonight, which I suppose is nice, but the strikes he throws are easy ones to handle. Like I said last time he pitched, until he start commanding the ball around the knees, he's going to suck. Get well, Bartolo.

A quality start, I'll take it. Didn't think we'd get one prior to first pitch. Let the offensive beatdown commence.

I don't get brining Lowrie into the game to PR, when the hitter at the plate is such a miserable pile of suck.

"D Ortiz reached on infield single to second, D Pedroia scored [from second]."

Can someone who's watching the game explain a) how Ortiz gets an infield hit of any description and B) how Pedroia scores from second on it?

And, by the way, Manny is good.

he dove for ball and got the glove on it, and then it trickled in the outfield

Write it down, on 4/19, Lugo did something right by not trying for 2 when he held the ball there. Might not happen again all season, so we need to record it.

So' date=' that Manny guy is pretty good.[/quote']

He's washed up. Oh sure, he gets his hits, but when's the last time he got an important hit with the game on the line... oh, right... never mind...

Facing Manny in anything like a crucial situation must be hell for pitchers. Lessee here, 9th inning HR vs. Guardians, 2-run double off Moose, 8th inning HR tonight... that's just in the past week or so. Did I miss any?
