One thing that is getting lost in the non-coverage of this game is Girardi's move with Molina and Posada, is the fact that Girardi gave up the DH to have Betemit run for his catcher. Plus he put an injured catcher into the game with no backup. I hope these, giving up the DH and skipping his starter when it looks like rain, are the types of decisions we'll get all year.

Wow. I actually left around 10:30 to go at it since by the time the game would be over I figured I'd have to go to work in the morning...and I was fully expecting a final score of 9-8 or something. Way to go, bullpen...except Timlin. Giambi? What the f***?

Molina pulled his hamstring in the 4th inning and is going to be placed on the DL. He stayed in longer to give the Yankees a chance to come back, and gutted it out.

Giambi is 2-2 with 2HR off Timlin and 1 for 26 against the rest of the league.

Now it makes sense. Why does ESPN bother with sideline reporters, don't get me wrong I love me some Erin Andrews, but shouldn't that come out in the broadcast? Instead we get more mental diarrhea from Joe Morgan.

good to see the 2 of the 3 phenoms bringing it.

ian kennedy(13.50) phil hughes 11ip 11earned and the knowledge that his fastball didnt hit 92 last night.

who is he going to beat with that garbage?

the league is too good this year for either of these clubs to run and hide

although boston isnt clicking yet there are signs the table setters are getting on and the boppers will need to follow.

in ny?

arod continues his late inning gagging but all in all it was what we expected

lots of baseball left

Best backup catcher we've had in years. Glad to see him exert himself and show some heart, bad to know that Moeller is going to be doing most of the catching unless Posada is doing better.

Moeller didnt look bad at all in the spring, and I doubt Flaherty would come out of the booth. Not sure if u were serious or just kidding, but looks like we're stuck with Moeller for now. Hopefully Jorgie is doing better.

definitely just kidding. if I ever hear "Yankees backup catcher"' date=' Flaherty pops into my head[/quote']

I'd rather see Girardi suit up!!!
