Yeah I guess I am spoiled but I like offense more than pitching + defense specially in regular season.

 

Yeah pitching and defense sucks, it only brings a wire to wire divison title along with a ws championship. Man this team sucked last year.

Nice sarcasm - all I said is that I like the offensive side of the game.

 

I think we lucked out little last year to win the AL East title. The Yankees had a horrible April and almost caught us. I think there are some games when the offense will just have to bail out the pitcher and carry the team and I don't have confidence this line-up can do it.

I did not say last year's team was bad. I said that they were little light in offense and that could have been a problem. Unfortunately we are probably in the toughest division in baseball and not having a consistent offense may be a problem for us to get to the play-offs.

 

I like the chances of Sox if they get to the play-offs with this team. But getting there is anything but gurranted the way Jays, Rays and even the Orioles are playing. And the Yankees will be right in the mix as usual come September.

Eric Hinske is batting 5th for the Rays. Kevin Millar is batting cleanup for the Orioles. They will be out of the race by the All-Star break if not sooner.

I agree. In order to win, we do need to score runs in the last two innings. I suggest the team accomplish this by advancing runners to home plate. It's the easiest way.

We will see. I don't think Rays will win AL East - but they will become a factor just like the Jays. Rays always play the Yankees tough - it may be a good thing for us.
