I remember back in 2003 when the Yankees featured their 100th anniversary patch on the cap and sleeve it came as a shock, as there was no mention of it until opening night in Toronto. They went all through Spring Training with regual caps and jerseys, and I remember being personally surprised, and trying to make out what the patch said the night of that first game in Toronto (which also happens to be thenight Jeter seperated his shoulder due to his collission with recent Red Sox minor leaguer Ken Huckaby  ...just wanted to point that out).

Anyways, keeping in mind that the Yankees are hosting the All Star game this year, and that the host team has worn a patch on their sleeve all season going back quite a few years now, it's expected that they feature a patch. I know this isn't a significant topic or anthing, but being the uni-history nut that I am I felt the need to point this out. While browsing the Yankee page on shop.mlb.com I noticed that they have available for purchase the 2008 jerseys with not one, but TWO sleeve patches. Makes you wonder what happens when we make the World Series. Do they replace the one on the right with the Series patch, or just add it to the sleeve, having two on it (three in total).

I want to get one, but they're not yet available customized. Only can be ordered with no number on the back.

I take something of an interest in uniform history, and really uniforms in general, myself.

If they had to take one of the patches off, I'd assume it'd be the All-Star patch, though placing the World Series logo on the chest, like they did with the Rockies vest, may also be an option... but the jerseys would look so crowded. That said, yeah... shouldn't be much of a problem.

That said, though... on the subject of jerseys, I know for certain the Royals will be wearing light blue alternates this year.

yeah they brought back the powder blue, but only on tops. It'll look funny seeing the powder blue top with the white pants. Also, the Blue Jays changed their road jersey and the Phillies added an alternate, as did the Guardians.

The Jays will also be wearing their old powder blues on Fridays I believe. Not sure if it's all fridays or just friday home games or what the deal may be.

Can someone photoshop a syringe on this thing?

What about replacing the interlocking NY with an asterisk? Kind of already looks like one.

That Phillies alt is a thing of beauty aside from the stupid font that organization seems to love. Royals should've gone fully light blue... you're right, it does look silly (still, though... no black in their scheme anymore is a plus). And the Blue Jays roads are vast improvements too. Almost forgot about all the changes. Haven't seen the Guardians yet, though... what did they do? I know they either did, or are planning to, drop the silver from their color scheme.

I didnt hate the black in the Royals scheme as much as some people. I'm not big on the new Jays road uni's, I dont like the new fotn. As for the Phillies, I never realized how important the pinstripes were to that jersey, because it looks a little funny plain lol. The Cleveland jersey is an old-fashioned style. I'll find a pic. They did also drop one of their jerseys, I believe the vest.

Well, the Jays got a new alt too. Te good thing about their new roads is they have some blue in them... since, of course, they're not the Graphite Jays.

Here's Cleveland, by the way. I can't believe I missed 'em... I almost never miss these things. That's what having no internet access for two weeks will do.

Very undecided on the Jays alt, but light blue is always a plus.
