LOS ANGELES (AFP) - A report on Major League Baseball doping due to be released by the end of the year will arouse anger by naming players, Los Angeles Angels owner Arte Moreno reportedly said.

 

"The names of players will come out that people will be mad about," Moreno said. "Some of my information is second-hand but I know there's going to be names."

 

Published reports have linked several players to that case, including Rick Ankiel of St. Louis, Cleveland's Paul Byrd, Baltimore's Jay Gibbons, Toronto's Troy Glaus and Gary Matthews Jnr of the Angels.

 

Matthews has denied ever using HGH despite reports he received an HGH shipment in 2004.

 

Watch the only names to come out be those of who we already know, Glaus, Matthews Jr, Byrd, Gibbons, and Ankiel.

I don't see what naming names is going to do. It's not like they can go back and change what happened. I also don't think it will be fair that some people will be called out on this when it's obvious that more players were using then just the ones that are going to be named in this report.

I think they're going for a humiliation factor here. When a player sees his name he'll feel like s*** and be embarassed. That and depending whos' names surface COULD determine their careers.
