Sit down Arod. Seriously sit down, youve been standing at home plate (for some time) in amazement you let taht pitch get by.

Dice-K at 99 pitches through 5, sned him out for the 6th with the bullpen warming up behind him

EDIT: Lets see how long it takes Tito to pull Dice-K

Hahahaha nah, I'm all good. We're not playing until 1 tomorrow and we have a team breakfast at 9, so I'll be fine. Crunchy, if I may, where did you play in high school?

By the way' date=' congrats to the Red Sox fans. Your team had a better season then the Yanks (much more consistent), and Sox deserve the division.[/quote']

That's big of you to say. Thanks! (I mean that sincerely.)

I'm pretty comfortable now, but it's still not over. The magic number will be down to 9 should the Sox win (which is a very comforting thought), but like you said, you have bigger issues than winning the division at this point.

Thanks though.

The bigger issue post was in response to the post that Jacko made about the division. The perception at this site (from most of the Yankee fans), is that the wild card is a lock. I've been saying the entire week that it's not over, and, unfortunately, the Tigers are beginning to prove my point.

I knew that's what you meant, lol. The Tigers will be 2.5 back tonight (I don't like only looking at the L column....you still have to win those extra games) should the Yanks lose. It really isn't over. I stil think the Tigers have an end-of-season run left in them, despite their rotation's issues. The Yanks have issues there too though, I guess.

in 3 years we played bc high st johns of shrewsbury natick high with darren flutie framingham south with the 3 garron brothers leaominster fitchburg and franklin

i had the pleasure of playing against a few d1 guys and a couple of nfl players

Awesome. Sounds like you guys had a pretty big team. We played Wakefield High in a non-league game last week and we won 41-21...we're trying to bring respect to the Independent School League. Rise Magazine had us ranked as 3rd in the state behind Everett and Brockton, so we'll see what's up. Brockton was way over-rated though, they suck (lost to BC High in the first week and were a .500 team last year). We should probably be 2 but 3 is fine for me, lol. I think we have the biggest line in the state (averaging 6'1'' 265).

HOLY f***. Get him out of there! Papelbon for 6 outs, bitches. This is the right thing to do.

Okajima's swoon continues. After giving up 1 HR in 43.1 innings pre all star break, he has given up 5 in 23.2 innings since the all-star break. Gag-me isnt making it any easier on Tito to use Okajima sparingly

Yay single makes it a 1 run game, way to implode

I completely agree about the loss column thing. The Tigers won the extra game, therefore they're only behind 2.5 instead of 3. If you only look at the loss column you're completely discounting the fact that they won that game.

In my opinion, Monday changed everything. The Tigers were about to go to 4.5 behind, there are two outs and nobody on in the ninth, and they come back and win. Ever since then, with the exception of the first game of the doubleheader on Tuesday, they've played quite well. Tonight they also showed a lot by coming back against the Twins bullpen and getting a big win. There bullpen also showed up.
