I put the Rangers in the disappointed list. I also put the Red Sox in the surprised list. I didn't think you guys would be this good.

That'd be "inconsistent." But, Seattle has kept it close and no one was predicting a close race in the AL West.

 

I think the Yanks have suprised me the most. Dismal first half, now they're killing it.

seattle gave the wild card a run when they werent supposed to be there at all

they had a good run after the break and have developed a decent bullpen

 

their starters have been a disappointment but they hung in there

sexon and beltre bounced back after pathetic years and ichiro continues to amaze

 

if they had more consistancy from their starters they may have edged out ny and detroit for the wild card

Agreed.

 

Sexson last year: .264 BA, .338 OBP, .504 SLG, 34 HRs, 107 RBIs

 

Sexson this year: .205 BA, .295 OBP, .399 SLG, 21 HRs, 63 RBIs

 

Granted Sexson has played in less games this year, but the HRs and RBIs are way down.

 

On top of that, Beltre has a better year, but it's not drastically different.
