f*** that. They reserve the right to be as obnoxious as they want.

Like Steinbrenner said after game 7 in '04, "Keep the lights on and let them celebrate. They deserve it."

I didn't mean that they can't celebrate (the ones that have been here ALL SEASON), but I just won't be able to take it if there's an influx of obnoxious Yankees fans. I'm already having a rough few weeks/month. God help the person that really pushes me over the edge, lol.

lol, what a complete troll comment.

We were three outs from elimination. Won in 12, brought Fenway down.

Then we won in 14, and brought it down again.

Then a dude who can barely f***ing walk beat your ass, and a guy who got booed off them team hit the game winning homerun.

And then we wiped the floor with your sorry asses in game 7.

So yeah, your celebration was great. Especially since you won the WS and everything.

Hey Schillingouttheks....

With guys like this on your board, how can you expect us NOT to give you grief?

Anyways, I won't be giving you s***. I don't really look at your team collapsing as much as I look to my team rising to the occasion. We both make the playoffs anyways, so the difference is one potential home game, that's it. In the big scheme of things, it is not too significant.

We've been taking it from you guys all season long, with a few of you being gracious about it. It is out of respect for you and the others that have been decent folks, that if we do catch you, I'll keep it down. However....in the offseason, and next year, if we catch you, I'll remind you at every opportunity. By then, you should be over it.

Glad to see that the rightful owners, the ones who patented "CHOKE", are once again on the verge of reclaiming their rightful trademark. 14.5 games....jeez. About the only one I knew who believed it was my father, he said he'd lived through year after year of Red Sox collapses that he knew his Yanks would pull through.

The thing I don't understand is why you guys aren't giving Manny grief. His bat could have won you a few games, but he seems content to sit and watch.

Your trolling tactics may work with other people but they just amuse me.

Which is it, Gom?

Both. You collapsed, and we played lights out. Really depends on my mood and the audience. Around Yankee fans, we played outstanding ball. Around Red Sox fans, it's because you choked.

I love having my cake and eating it too. Go Marie Antoinette!

As of 9/23:

With the Sox losing to the D-Rays, and the Yankees taking care of business at home, the Yankees are one game behind the Red Sox in the loss column for the division. It's still possible. A tie gives us the division since we win the head to head matchup.

Could we complete one of the largest comebacks ever? Stay tuned....

Ignoring that GOM has turned this thread into his own personal trolling thread, the fact is that if the Yankees overtake the Sox, they deserve the title. They've played very well and the Sox have played mediocre baseball. I'm tipping my hat to them now for making it a close race. We will stay tuned, GOM, and may the better team win.

Natural progression of things' date=' rician....lol[/quote']

Less natural progression...more "the way things have turned out."

If it were truly a "natural progression", then Yankee fans would not have conceded at several different points in this season.

Like I said, however it turns out, the team that wins deserves it.

Torre has all but said that the division is worth it. After they clinch, A-Rod, Jeter, and Cano will all get time off. On top of that, seeing how Joe managed the game tonight, it's pretty clear that he's not waiting till after they clinch to mail it in.

They're coasting into the playoffs, as they should. No reason to burn guys out going into October. It would've been cool, but I can live without the division.

Yup, I completely agree.
