So when the Yankees need to upgrade their bullpen, they cut ties with two of their pitchers?

Are JOBA and Britton (who I'd assume they'd call up) really the answer?

Can't be worse than Proctor and Myers...

I really think Yankee fans took both of these guys for granted. Proctor pitches til his arm falls off and Myers sported what, a 2.66 ERA with an ERA+ of 162?

Yeah, they were awful. An Innings eater and a guy with a 162 ERA+.

I can understand the logic for Proctor, but trying to validate Myers spot on this roster is assinine at best. Myers is not the guy you bring in to a 1 run game to pitch a full inning. He is a guy who comes in to face lefties one pitch at a time. And the fact that he only had a 2.66ERA speaks to how wonderful the other pitchers have been at bailing him out.

When your only job is to get lefties out and they hit you at a rate of .312 with a .850+ OPS, then you arent doing your job. You would have an argument if Myers was being used as a full inning reliever, but he isnt.

Not to mention the fact that he has allowed a lot (I think) of inherited runners to score.

What was your BAC when you thought this was funny? I'll try to match it, and see if I can crack a smile.
