In terms of their expectations coming into the season? I'd say they are the worst team this year. Maybe I should have said biggest disappointment.

 

What do people think about my second point? Does no one else get that vibe?

I agree completely. Most of the free agents that were tough to see go had good years immediately after leaving the Sox but it's not as if Pedro or Johnny we're gonna accept 1 year deals. Now both signings look like s***. Theo has been great at making the tough calls on letting certain guys go.

The only person I think Theo should have signed is OCab and there are some questions regarding Arroyo trade. Varitek was resigned who is not that great as a player any more but has other qualities of developing young pitchers. Ortiz has been resigned - thats a no brainer. Millar/Mueller/Bellhorn/Roberts/Kapler/Faulk did not have much left. He was right in letting Pedro, Damon, Lowe go. Even not resigning Nixon does not look too bad if you look at his stats lately.

 

The guy from 2004 I do not want to see in this team is Mirabelli.
