Good road series win in Cleveland. Now let's beat up on Tampa Bay again. I'm heading off to Chatham today so someone will have to take over the gamethread duties if I can't get one up by an hour before game time. Give me the chance to make it though! I may be able to. Anyway...bring out the bats again. Go Sox...WIN!

MORE DAVE MATTHEWS MOJO!

Go for the start of a sweep tonight! Seriously, if the Yankees can pound them for like a million runs in a 4-game series, the Sox shouldn't do much worse.

BTW, good DMB song.

Yay, another night of listening to Dwayne Staats. f***er sounds like Big Bird calling a ball game.

His partner Magrane is an idiot too. They just showed the pitch before Papi K'd from an overhead view because they thought it was close. The ball came in over the batter's box line, about 6" inside, and Magrane says, "Pretty close".

Three perfect innings from a complete waste of a pitcher. I guess tonight they are mailing it in.

This f***er needs to go play the lottery, because they are tatooing the ball right at people.

Ortiz looks awful. I think they ought to DL him and let WMP get regular ABs while he rests/heals.

Im surprised Snyder isnt pitching, he hasnt pitched in 8 days now, July 19th against Chicago. Scratch that as he starts the 9th

EDIT: Yessss Sox win, 63-40. New season high 23 games over .500. If O's are able to keep the Yanks back, it will be back to an 8 game lead

Sox bats were found befuddled by Jason Hammel but alas enter the bullpen.... 1st batter to face the bullpen is Youkilis and he promptly hits a 3 run HR to give them the lead.

Wake should face the D-Rays every time out, now has a 17-2 mark against Tampa Bay. Solid 6 innings before giving the ball to the pen. Wakefield improves his season record to 12-9 and lowered his ERA from 4.74 to 4.59. The Sox are the only team in baseball with 3 pitchers who have at least 12 wins

Tomorrow is Lester vs Shields. The D-Rays starter came firing out of the gate but has struggled mightily the last 2 months. His last start was the eventual 21-4 loss to New York
