The worst pitching staff in the history of baseball, is taking it on the chin again against Baltimore. They have allowed a grand total of 627 runs this season, which puts them on pace for allowing 1,015 runs. If they reach that hallowed mark, it would make them the only team in the history of Major League Baseball, to allow that many runs. I'm creating this thread in their honor, to keep track of the runs allowed.

 

So far, they've allowed six against Baltimore, through only three innings. Edwin Jackson is pitching, along with rest of the Tampa Bay bullpen. If they surrender another four runs, this would be their 18th ten run game allowed.

Sure it is. 10K is relative. While the magnitude is the greatest, not every team has been around since 1883. Four other clubs have a lower franchise W%. Three of them are all above .460. Only one is .397, and they are about to allow the most runs ever.

Will an asterisk be required? I'll look into it. At their rate, 970 allowed in a 154 game season would be the bar. I'll see if anyone has cleared it to date. It's doubtful.

Maybe they should get Hogan to buy the team and fill it with steroid using wrestlers, I mean it can't get much worse than it is right now for them. I say the Sox unload 28 runs on them over the 3 games.
