Yess Sox win, 54-34, back to 20 games above .500

 

Wake did enough for his boys to win, nice to see him getting more run support. With him improving his season record to 10-8, the Sox are the first team in baseball to have 3 ten win pitchers. No wonder why we've had trouble with teh Blue Jays... before this year, Wake's last start against Toronto was sept, 2005

 

Great to see the 3/4 combo of Manny and Ortiz knock in 5 runs tonight. As well as Lugo rolling out with the hits. Hopefully this game sets the tempo for the 2nd half offense

EDIT: Joel Pineiro has been activated off of the DL, Jeff Bailey down. The bullpen is back to a 7 man staf of: Pineiro, Snyder, Lopez, Timlin, MDC, Okajima, Paps

 

Donnelly will begin his rehab stint in Single-A Lowell. The Sox must now meet to decide who will be moved to make way for him once he too is activated from the DL

Sad to say, it'll probably be MDC unless they put someone on the DL again.

I don't see how you send MDC down after he's been pitching like this, but he and Lopez are the only ones with options. The only other thing they can do is either DFA Pineiro or Timlin

Delcarmen has been nice since coming up. It's just like a hitter, you have to ride the hot one until he bucks. I say the trade/DFA Pinerio. There might be some National league team desperate for BP help may take a flier on him. Maybe we eat some of his salry. Don't expect to get anything in return tho. This is more or less making a spot on the roster move. Delcarmen is pitching good right now, Pinerio and Donnely are questions at this point.
