I know that it's hard to win games when Youk and Manny are on the bench and you have the likes of WMP in LF and Jeff Bailey at 1B, but some of this is just ridiculous. This team just can't get RBIs. I don't know what their f***ing problem is, but they need a kick in the ass. The fans need to let them know how they feel too. If they continue to pull this s*** the fans need to be one collective voice.

I'm not as annoyed as that post was made out to be. I am pissed off at the Red Sox though. They've been a third place team at best since the beginning of June.

I'm not so confident. Our hitters aren't a dangerous bunch right now. They just aren't making consistent hard contact, and the bats seem slow. It's like they are counting down the outs to the break. No fire, no confidence. I'm starting to get onboard the anti-Magadan bus. Not enough consistent production with the talent he has to work with.

Agreed for the most part. But how many pointers do you think guys like Ortiz and Manny take from Magadan? I'd probably say that they do what they've been doing their whole career. I don't think their lack of production bounces back to Magadan...the blame rests on them. When Ortiz and Manny don't produce, the team suffers. They've been black holes in our lineup since the beginning of June (in terms of them doing their jobs...the AVG may look alright, but hitting for average is not what their job is).

 

However, as for the rest of the lineup...Magadan's to blame. There's just too much to work with. They're inconsistent as all hell and they fall on their face offensively after huge offensive explosions. Honestly...what gives?

It's time now for the FO to make a statement by making some moves to reinforce the team. Bold moves by the FO would make a statement to the team. Last year the message that they sent to the team was that the FO didn't believe in them, and a couple of weeks later the team quit.

This team is in first place in the AL east with the next best team trailing by a whole 11 games. They have a .600+ winning percentage and have been playing great baseball with the exception of a few games or god forbid a series here and there. Tavarez is inconsistent and there's always a possibility of him being roughed up by a good offense which happened in the first game of this series. Last night's game could have easily gone either way...and today's game isn't even complete yet. Give me a break.

They're up by 11 games because the Yankees and Blue Jays suck. Not because they've been a first place team. Are you watching the same team I'm watching? The team that I'm watching would have the floor mopped with them if the playoffs were to start tomorrow. They'd be embarrassed and laughed at. The AL East this year is quite possibly the worst division in baseball.

 

And where did I say if they lose another series? They can lose another series, but if they pull this s*** after they come back from the break and lose a series to Toronto, KC, or CWS, yes, they deserve to be booed off the field. They suck right now. SUCK.

 

Last night's game should never have gone as long as it did. They should have lost a lot earlier than that. They didn't score a run in the last 12 innings. We had just a good of a shot to win? The Tigers are the better team right now. They're leagues above them. The team I'm watching right now is heartless, gutless, and FLAT. They're dead.

 

But hey, if you're content watching them play like s*** the rest of the year, well...to each his own.
