according to heh radio it as grounder to lugo's right that he couldn't get

There's no way he gets Pudge even if he fields it cleanly. It was a slow roller that was placed just right.

If we want Okajima to be as effective in the second hald as he was in the first we should become cognizant of his workload.

Of course we should, but that is not the argument you were making initially and when you called me out. You called me out because he was struggling and you wanted Papelbon in there. Then when he got out of it you started hemming and hawing between that and not overworking Okajima. Now it was all not overworking Okajima.

you put papelbon in and he has to pitch 2 innings. You have faith in the rest of your pen and he may not have to (he still may have to). You have another all star in your pen, who is already in the game and who has one more inning in him and may have a very easy inning.

If this is a home game I'm putting Papelbon in like the Tigers put Jones in. But we are guaranteed to need him this game if we are going to win. That's not the same as saying we are not TRYING to win. In order to win we need to get the lead and KEEP the lead. Papelbon is the best way to keep the lead.

DFA Tito. He couldn't cut it in Philly and obviously can't cut it here. Go get someone with a f***ing brain who can make the educated and proper decisions.

...Tito did get us to a championship. I overreact to a lot of Tito's mistakes and s***, but we could have a lot worse.

Those Phillies' teams were HORRIBLE. That was not Tito's fault.

At that point Okajima had worked 1.1 innings. You needed to get in a position to win the game again. Instead of overworking Okajima (he clearly was not effective at all and got a bit lucky), he should have gone to Papelbon and try to win TONIGHT because he can gain divisional ground. He didn't. He hung Okajima to dry and got lucky, and then went to the corpse of Mike Timlin and got lucky again.

Who's he gonna start in the 12th if the Sox don't score? Lopez?

This is just alarmist crap. Your shaky finger is all over that red button isn't it? Have some faith in the guys on this team. They are all professionals.

papelbon should be up and ready (that's where I disagree with what Tito is doing) but I have no problems giving some of these other pitchers a chance when the bases are empty. A good team wins with all of its players.

Why the hell not?

A loss tonight and a loss tomorrow are worth the same thing, for what it's worth. Divisional ground has nothing to do with it.

This game is muy frustrado. I don't see how or why Tito could choose Bailey over WMP against a lefty, why Okajima pitched that long, and why he chose Timlin over Papelbon.

Lugo K's! All is well!

No, I like this team, I hate Tito. This team will win even if Tito doesn't do a great job; the team is by far the most important piece. But having a better manager would make the team better.

Lugo sucks, please stop using him Tito.

Lugo with a man on 2nd... how does he make this out? Ground out? Pop up? or Strikeout?

I'll gladly eat crow if Im wrong

Ted who are they going to sub in for Lugo if you call on a pinch hitter?

The Winner is strikeout

Ortiz walks, now DP Manny is up

It's time for one of those shots where you stand and admire it and then smile like a goofy bastard as you round the bases Manny.
