I'm seeing 1978 all over again. Hot at first, get to June and now everything that went right for us is now going wrong, vice versa for the Yankees.

Come on just WIN!

Oh, no doubt. But these games against weak NL teams are gimme wins. They can't be sucking these games away. The offense needs to find its life.

Josh Fogg should not have had as good of a night as he did last night.

f***. Stranded 2 runners. Seems to happen every inning.

I don't think they're gimme wins. I think they should be gimme 2 out of 3 wins. They were like 17-1 or something against the NL last year, which is simply absurd and cannot be expected. I think 12-6 would be a good record against the NL.

Let's all just face the facts: the Yankees have a team that is capable of playing nearly .700 ball for the rest of the season. If they do that there are few leads that would be safe. Not much the Sox can do but worry about each and every game in front of them.

Even if Beckett loses tonight, he's been amazing all this year and it's only gonna be his first loss. God forbid.

He's REALLY improved since last season. Really matured, more relaxed, but focuses on the mound and unleashes some heat.

And another K!

Kevin Youkilis is the least of our worries right now.

Ortiz and Ramirez have combined for 2HR and 19 RBI over the past month. There is reason to believe this trend will not continue. Both are actually hitting the ball very well; perhaps they are not getting opportunities or are just not coming through.

They are still a decent offense when those guys are quiet, but when they are crushing the ball this offense can be really dangerous.

Okay, I lied. I didn't stop listening.

One out in the sixth, bases loaded, 1 out, 7-3 (or something) Portland.

Buchholz just got his 12th strikeout. One away from a club record.

EDIT: Sorry for the innane comments, but the Big-Boy Red Sox aren't much to talk about right now.
