The longest Ortiz has had a homerless drought this long, was back when he was a Twin still trying to find his swing

Im surprised Jacko isnt parading through the game threads about the Yanks beating down the Sox, or even Gom

EDIT: Drew has left with a strained hamstring. This is obviously something he's been dealing with since mid-April. Sox might as well play it safe and DL him

Mad delicious. Eggo buttermilk waffles+real maple syrup+whipped cream=Magically delicious wonder.

I will have to try that whipped cream idea. Never thought of that. I usually just load 'em up with butter and syrup.

its almost painful to watch Lugo's at-bats

I had a strong feeling this would happen. Tim Wakefield MUST NEVER AGAIN OPEN A SERIES AGAINST THE YANKEES.. They own him now. That has been evident for the past year. If we don't win at least one game this series we will have let the Yankees back into the face. I hope to God Francona makes it so that Tim never has to face the Yankees again. I just knew this would happen again and, I'm sure, most of you did, too.

I just got in, can someone give me a rundown on what's happened so far. I can look up the scoring stuff, but ESPNEWS is running the headline "breaking news, NY leads Boston 9-3" (no NY bias there, cause i'm sure if the sox were ahead the same thing would be true  ) But what happened to get Torre tossed and how is Lowell doing?

thanks

Another shining example of the all too common lately, Talksox anti-logic. Be sure to ignore this when you see it kids.

Fred, it's got nothing to do with them owning him. When Wake is going bad, and he's going bad right now, everyone shells him and he walks the park. When he gets going again, and he will, it won't matter who he faces then either. Take the good with the bad, and try not to lose any sleep trying to figure it out.

so how bads Drews injury looking? I didnt see it, just saw the report on rotoworld:

J.D. Drew left Friday's game after five innings with a strained right hamstring.

Certainly not a great night for the Red Sox. Then again, the team might be better off with Wily Mo Pena in right field right now. Drew's condition will likely be updated after the game. Jun. 1 - 10:10 pm et

Another DP... followed by another 1 pitch out to end an inning

So tomorrow is Schilling vs Mussina. Hopefully we dont get the rocky Schilling, and an offense that can actually take advantage of runners on base

It's a good point. I was hoping Tito would let Tavarez pitch, since this is his 5th day and he's thrown well against NY. Holding Wake for Monday would have been no big deal.

put Drew on the D.L and bring up Moss and let him and Willy Mo play RF

im pretty sure were better off with those 2 playing than how Drew's been playing

let's not get carried away and forget that ceranno is terrible in right field. Getting him regular ab's would be a good thing, but watching him give back outs isn't!

He goes Monday in Oakland.

is there a reason for this, or did tito just want to get beckett (i assume) to go sunday. JT's been pitching great lately

Peanut butter. Waffle' date=' peanut butter, syrup. You don't know what you are missing.[/quote']

 Weird. I like peanut butter and butter sandwiches if they are toasted.

Kind of weird though as Wake as 3 losses (if this game holds up) to the yanks and JT has 2 wins so far....go figure

Try it. With a big glass of milk. I guarantee you will enjoy it.

what about blueberry waffle and blueberry syrup with PB.

Never tried it with the fruity stuff. Regular waffles, maple syrup.
