Hitting .250 for the last four months of the season is all thaqt it would take. That's not unheard of. What did he hit the last 4 months of 2006? I would not say that he collapsed in 2006. Over the course of a season' date=' a player's stats usually finds his talent level. Maybe you think Youklis is a .300+ hitter. I don't. I peg him around .280. If he finishes at around .280, that's pretty good. That's not a collapse. He's had two hot months, which can be very easily averaged out by a slumping month. It happens to most players.[/quote']

I wasnt talking about finishing the season at .280 was a collapse, I said .260. Dont put words in my mouth. How is it good if he hits .250 over the next 4 months?

I didnt say he collapsed in 2006. He was hitting around .320 at this point last year i believe and finished with .276. Besides that, it was his first full season in teh bigs. Of cour a regression would happen as he plays more than he has ever had

I am the one that said that he is a .260-.280 hitter in the post to which you responded. You are picking out .260 as a collapse, but not .280? Okay then.

You are putting words in my mouth now. I didn't say that it would be good. I am just pointing out that players can be hot one or two months and slump for a month or two. In a 162 game season, it all evens out and players stats reflect their talent levels. I think Youk is a .260-.280 hitter, not a .350 hitter.
