Bad game for Dice-K. I've seen a few games from him that show glimpses but for the most part I don't see the same pitches from him that I saw from clips in Japan or the WBC. He had nasty movement on everything but here....all of his pitches are hittable.

Umps are missing some calls tonight w/ Lowell and now w/ the Manny/Dustin deal.

Better a 2 run homer than 3.......

Dammit, Dice-K is done....get him out of there.

He's coming off of a bad stomach flu, and before that had back to back solid games against Atlanta and Detroit (2 of the best teams in baseball)

Why is he getting a standing ovation? Call me a homer, but I dont stand and clap for a pitcher whos given up 6 runs in 5.2 innings

Stomach flu, new baseballs, learning the players, being in the AL, excuses excuses....I'm not saying I don't like the guy or want the guy.....I just don't know what happened to those pitches I saw from clips that were down right sick. I haven't missed a start from him and haven't seen those pitches yet.

Certainly he can throw a fair amount of pitches, but they don't have knee buckling break, tremendous location, or exploding velocity...perhaps he doesn't get warmed up until later this season

I'm not even that upset. If we lose it's no big deal...Lord knows if anyone can lose a game it's us.

Haha, and the thing is, we can still very well win this thing.

Amen Schill!

Dice-K is human, s*** is gonna happen.

He certainly didn't have his best stuff, but, and I know this is shocking, the Tribe has one of the best young hitting clubs in The Game. It ain't the Royals or the yankees we're facing. They actually have some spirit and talent. And, while not conceding...we aren't actually going to win every game for the rest of the year. I'll take 2/3 every time out.

And MJ you do have a tendency to show up at opportune moments, but you have always been there through thick and thin which is more than I can say for the vast majority of your mile wide inch deep spoiled brat "fan base."

But, I'm still going to bust your balls.

Ok the Sox didnt invest $100 million into Dice-K for 1 year... they invested in 6 seasons

He will have his bumps along the road in his first year. I hardly think this will be the same pitcher in year 2, year 3, etc. I am nowhere near whatsoever getting concerned about his future games to come

Does not take away from the fact he has been very inconsistent and he and Tito s*** the bed tonight.

Exactly. They sucked big time, but luckily for them, we can stomach it and not have it affect us that badly.

Right and I don't think he will be the same pitcher down the road as suggested....sooner or later he will figure something out and have success....I just find it strange this guy had such great command of so many pitches and we are seeing the opposite on most days

Average control and typically only has 1-2 maybe 3 pitches working well on a given night. Even the complete game he had...he threw his changeup twice (supposedly his best pitch)
