Why would we want that, either?

edit - Although, out of the three potential FA CF'rs (Jones, Hunter, Ichiro), I'd like to see Hunter the most.

Six straight Gold Gloves, hitting .310, 10 homers, 36 RBIs right now? Also he's had 23+ homers in every full season he's played since 2001.

We don't. We want to throw enormous bags of money at Torii Hunter.

Hunter is showing some incredible power, but I don't think he's that level of a player.

He's also walked 5 times this year. You can expect that average to decline a bit.

Gotta love the TBS feed where you can actually here them packing up the booth when Paps comes in. Earlier in the game they were hoping they wouldn't have to see him

Six straight Gold Gloves' date='[/quote']

Gold gloves are meaningless. He's a good defensive CF, but he isn't the same CF as he was in 2001.

He doesn't have anywhere near that kind of power, and he is a career .271 hitter. I guarantee you, he's going to be hitting under .300 this year.

Also he's had 23+ homers in every full season he's played since 2001.

23 HR's is a solid figure, but Hunter will want superstar money, and he is not a superstar.

Wow. Here's to hoping a ton of Andrew Jones bad mojo doesn't come crashing down on us all.

Nevermind. Wow. Nevermind, Jones just SUCKS.

Phew Paps notches it down, hurt by 3 blooper hits. Yesss Sox win 30-13, back to a season high tying 17 games above .500

Wow Andruw Jones is really off his mark this season, a 5 K game?

Player of the game is Kason Gabbard. He came in with expectations all against him, this wont be the last time we'll be seeing him this year.

Good to see the offense bat around one of the NL's best, Tim Hudson just got man handled

On to New York! Lets hope its an 11.5 game lead by tomorrow

My major investment if I were Theo Epstein, would be Joe Nathan.

That way, the Red Sox can slide Papelbon into the rotation, and still have a dominant force at the back end of the bullpen.

^^I like that idea.

Today's win was pretty big. it's the equivalent of someone posting a 59 during a golf tournament and now the Yankees HAVE to go out and match it.
