We all know Minky. He won a WS with us. He's not the worst 1B in the world, he's a proven veteran who tends to not hit very well but is CERTAINLY capable of hitting a HR.

certainly not in retrospect, but objectively if I have our fastest/2nd fastest runner on 3rd and a play like that happens (basically a safety squeeze) I have no problems with forcing their defense to field the ball cleanly, make a good throw to 1st, then turn around and make a nice play coming back the other way. It's not a guaranteed run by any stretch but neither is the defensive play with the pitcher covering.

I love how the Sox are hitting Wang right now. Regardless of the outcome of this game watching him get hit around is fun. This is supposedly their "ace" but I think there are many on this board (the jury) who are 'out' on that one. I see very little overpowering about this guy. He reminds me of D-Lowe.
