Not that I expected a homer from Crisp but those two last strikes were off the plate. You could see that plain as day. Still, with Farnsworth pumping them there why didn't Coco make an adjustment and move a tad closer to the plate. It was obvious they were going to pitch him there.

...unless he moves closer to the plate. They threw him outside BECAUSE he was away from the plate and he's weakest in that direction.

In replay, that was a HORRIBLE call. Thanks for watching the most dramatic part of the game slip away. That would have hit a right handed batter.

I'm glad Crisp screamed. I want him to be more selective at the plate and he did exactly what he should have done in that situation. You can't get around bad umping.

Tek is going to PH right?

He needs to.

He was in the on deck circle in the Crisp AB. I'd guess he does.

Abreu flies out, to the 9th. Not feeling too good about this one. Even Rivera could close this one out.;)

Apparently his bat-breaking is down, according to McCarver.

Nice Start tek!!

I was just gonna say...McCarver is a f***ing idiot. His success is measured in bats broken? No, I'm pretty sure it's saves, ERA and other real statistics.

He actually thinks that the stat BB means 'bats broken'.

You can see confidence in the walk, how they approach it, the eyes, the look in the eyes. Hmmm. I can smell confidence.

Lugo goes golfing at a pitch that undoubtedly would have been called a strike. No choice.

He's making a burmuda chest on Yankee Workshop.

I partially blame the ump for that loss. That call against coco was horrible. Hopefully he is taken into a dark, secluded room and spanked by the ump review board, hopefully with one of the broken bats from Mariano's skillful pitching.

Youk is the master of the weak pop.

Wow, s***** performance from the offense...again. 3-5 need to snap out of it. This was a big game to win. No Larry Birds on this team. Nobody to pound that last nail in the coffin when they were reeling. We just let them up off the mat. Might turn things around a bit for them.

If you came in and took the first 2 of this series, you could have delivered one hell of a knockout blow. Tomorrow, you could have kept Tavarez on a short leash going for the sweep knowing that you have an offday on Monday and maybe come away with one. Instead, Wake didnt give you enough innings and Igawa comes out of nowhere and is made to look like f***in Koufax. Tomorrow, our ace takes the hill, a guy you have handled to this point, but he is certainly the better bet going against your lineup than Tav is against ours. Either way, after finding a way to get blown out last night when we had a 2 run lead in the 5th, we found a way to win after our starter got knocked out after 2 batters. If we take it tomorrow and show some f***ing offensive life, we may be able to come off the matt and give you guys a run for it. If you win tomorrow, then the psychological toll of that victory could be too much to bear this early. Either way, huge win today for us when we shouldnt have won, and if we can take it tomorrow, we should be flying high into our roadtrip and subsequent off day.
