why not? By save him I assume you mean for the Yankees, and he may get rusty by the time he is called upon which wouldnt be good vs. the yankees.

Who's to say they can't pitch him in a non-save opportunity. I know he needs to get work, but it's not tonight. He's only had 2 days off after 4 in 5.

Lowell is having a great start to the season. Currently riding an 11 game hitting streak as well, he has 4 HRs and 17 RBIs. This is the best start he has had since 2004. That year he ended up finishing with 27 HRs/85 RBIs

I'd be wary. This happens every yr. Then after the AS break, he disappears. Maybe he gets overworked.
