I don't get to see alot of games but a buddy of mine here in Holland had the game on MLBTV and I caught the game, here are some things I noticed during the game...

When we work counts, we score runs( plus LAA pitcher was extremely wild)

Lugo looks to be settling in nicely...

Hinske plays a decent 1B and seems to be an above AVG. bench player...

Ortiz has been struggling to starts off but is lining it up pretty good the last couple of games...

Manny is struggling, but he always does, then he goes on a rampage for about 6 weeks where he hits .500

Drew plays a very nice RF, and is a very nice complementary pieace to our lineup, its nice that if Papi and Manny go down theres still someone to hit the ball...

Lowell is still fantastic with the glove...

Tek looks absolutely lost at the plate...

Coco had a couple solid hits last night that were outs, but he hit them hard, so maybe there is hope....

Pedroia looks like a 12 yr old, did you see when he was up to bat and Molina was squatting and his head was still up to Pedroias shoulders? But he does look to have a grasp of the strike zone and works the count, that and a decent Defense and thats pretty much all you can ask of him...

Schilling was dealing last night and I hope he keeps it up all season and doesn't sputter out towards the end...

Donnely is occasionaly wild but looks like someone who will be dependable atleast for the most part this year...

I saw it the other way around. Tek scalded two balls that didn't go in the books as hits. The Mathews error and the rope Isturis caught. I'm encouraged by the signs with Tek. Coco, not so much.

The starting rotation thru the first 10 games has just been sick. They right now singing the tune of a combined 2.66 ERA. Schilling has rebounded nicely from opening day with 2 great back to back starts

Paging Terry Francona.... Wily Mo Pena has had just 4 pinch hits through the first 10 games while Coco is 4 for 36. Ok we're talking sub .100 soon enough. So you do the math what should be done.

The offense since coming back (not including game vs Felix) has just been on fire outscoring by 32-4 in their last 3 wins. Safe to say Ortiz can only go up, so AL be afraid

Beckett vs Santana, a duel I like seeing but confident Beckett can improve his early season recortd to 3-0

An OF of Drew' date=' Ellsbury and Ichiro would be tremendous defensively and would add a TON of speed to the lineup as well. If Ichrio were interested I would be offering him something sweet.[/quote']

Also unfortunately it would be one of the worst power hitting outfields in baseball, we'd be lucky if Drew can consistently hits 20+ HRs. I wouldnt mind having Ichiro around but honestly at this time in his career he is not worth the contract Drew had gotten (5 years/$70 million). The last 2 seasons he has gotten into early slumps. He has been K'ing quite often this year which of course is unsual for him needless to say. No doubt he'd be a great addition, Im just saying I dont think that would be a wise type of contract for Theo to give him

I absolutely drool at the prospect of Ichiro in a Sox uni

I don't; isn't he is like 35-36 and in the down swing of his career. With Ellsbury on the fast track I don't think it would be a very good idea to sign this guy untill he is like 41.

well, Weaver hasn't pitched yet this year after being injured most of the spring and he's facing a team with hot bats right now. This might be the best time to face him

They won't bump Beckett and throw Tavarez, they'll just bump Beckett back.

Just checked it, and now Beckett is shown as tomorrow's starter.

I think it's bad for the morning, so they probably won't get the game started at 10:00 am, but they may try for it in the evening.

If they play tomorrow' date=' the weekend pitching would be Schilling, Beckett and Dice K.[/quote']

And then Dice, Wake, Tavarez in Yankee Stadium the following weekend. If Tavarez slots up against Rasner or whoever is going 5th, then it would be ideal (Thumper, that means best).

I don't think so. They come back Aug 17-19. They can't do it before or after, but I think we'll see a DH that weekend.

Oh, ok. I didn't check to see whether or not they returned to Fenway this year.

It depends on the field. I think the rain will have subsided enough by the evening to play, at least forecasts say so, but if the field is still sloshed, then they won't get it in.

I left a link to the local NBC affiliate above. They are calling for showers in the morning tapering off to drizzle in the afternoon.

Any news on the game time of tomorrow's game' date=' if it does happen?[/quote']

nothing new, but we are getting hammered in the northeast. There is no possible way the sox play at 10am. I would think a night game would be more appropriate.
