Redskins to call Patriots for Asante Samuel

Not sure where Roto got their information, the Redskins would actually be open to giving up their #6 pick in the 1st round for Samuel. That would give the Pats 3 picks in the 1st round.

 

The Redskins are expected to make a call to the Patriots about franchise player Asante Samuel.

 

He apparently wants to be dealt with contract talks in a stall. The 'Skins are open to moving the No. 6 pick, and New England owns two choices late in Round One, but D.C. seems an an odd landing spot with Shawn Springs still on the roster. The Jets and Browns may also have interest.

Asante Samuel is still "young talent"

 

Guy's only 26 and he's one of the top CB's in the League. That's the kind of guy I hang onto. Sign the man.
