Has anyone mentioned pickoff moves. I'd have to go with Warren Spahn on that.

Good choice, but I remember when I was a kid I had this book that illustrated Spahn's pickoff move. It showed frame by fram how his motion to the plate and to first base was identical up to the final moment.

You defend Wang whenever someone doesn't put him on a pedestal and bow down to him.

 

He has the best sinker I have ever seen, and I remember Brown in his prime. Wang's problem is that his secondary pitches arent very good. So he throws the sinker 90% of the time and gets tons of grounders.

same with Pettitte. I watched him last night and his pickoff is almost exactly the same. I am really glad to have him back.

havent seen it. All I can say is a 93-98 mph sinker that moves a good foot and cannot be lifted is about as tough as it goes.

Amen to that! I'm jonesing for baseball every night. But then certain folks will be sure to rant and rave the first couple of weeks of the season if everything isn't going perfectly.
