Veterans don't have to show up until March 1, so him not being there now I think is not a big deal at all. He's been in the bigs along time and kept himself in great shape so I don't know why ther media jumps on him.

no, I thought the 1.000was the OPS with a .600OBP and a .500AVG. That is theoretically impossible. If you hit all singles then your slugging is .500 and add that to your .600OBP and you get an OPS of 1.100. Then I noticed you said sligging 1.000.

Tito has a pretty good sense of humor which is one of the reasons I like him. That type of attitude is perfect for Boston IMO. Both comments crack me up though.

Outfielder Manny Ramirez showed up at Red Sox spring training camp in Fort Myers this morning, three days earlier than he said he would.

 

He arrived with agents Greg Genske and Gene Matosis, and is on his way to take his physical.

A Sox official said Ramirez is not going to speak with the media. No word on whether Manny will work out today.

I hope i am wrong...however manram showing up earlier than expected is a little weird. (with 2 agents) add that to the sox not seeming to brush off his antics as easily as before....and i am a little worried about them trying to move manram. I think it would be a terrible move, and i hope it doesn't happen...but i have a funny feeling!
