It's still the NL. And Wells knows how to pitch. Like the article said he's penciled in as their 5. Nothing spectacular is expected from him. They aren't expecting him to pitch better than Peavy. Just go out and win games and pitch like a 5 should. 12-15 Wins for him shouldn't be out of the question, granted he stays healthy.

i was never a boomer guy

but the effort he gave us just to get on the field after we didnt deal him was very impressive and turned me into a fan of his

 

i did get a huge chuckle out of 5'2 140lb rocco gravalese knocking out boomers teeth at 430am in a late nite diner

 

memo to boomer

next time you meet a little guy named rocco dont start something you cant finish

it maybe more than a tiny little fist that hits your head
