Manning isn't playing for a team nearly as good as the Patriots. The entire COlts team will shi*t themselves next weekend. I don't even expect that close of a game.
That's why I think he'll step up and the Colts will win and go all the way this yea, because no one expects it. That happens very often. Everyone expected the Chargers to get their heads handed to them by the Packers, but Elway finally won the big one and for good measure he won the following year.

I just don't see that hapenning. Peyton can't beat us when it matters. Right now the Patriots are playing the best they have in the last 2 years. Our defense is going to shut down the Colts. I also expect Brady to have a big game becuase they won't be able to shut him down. Peyton couldnt throw a TD pass vs KC, let alone BAL. I wouldn't be surprised if he had 2 TD passes, but I think our D can keep him to one, maybe 2 max. Our offense, though, should be able to walk all over them after the tough Chargers win.

mike holmgren coached that greenbay team

bill parcells was busy that week making plans to leave for ny

coupled with the desmond howard show that greenbay team is blessed it won anything

dont confuse mike holmgren with belichek

or addai with terrell davis

indi is good

they should be competetive, they did win 12 games and were undefeated for most of the year as they were last year

this is why we settle business on the field

Does anyone know what's up with Belichick's contract? When does it expire...what's the deal with it? I thought about this yesterday and I was wondering how much longer he's locked up with the Pats.

The Pats have said there is something in place but they have not announced it yet.

contracts in the nfl arent worth the paper their written on

that said

if this guy isnt locked up for life there should be an investigation

maybe they should offer him a piece of the gate

I just want to clear somethng up, I lost a bet when the Titans beat the Patriots because i figured that the Pats would rest more players and my part of the deal was to take the role of a Jets fan for 2 weeks. It's been a long, painful journey but I'm glad it's over. I just want to clear up any confusion before I start posting in the NFL threads.

This is as much a Tony Dungy issue as it is Manning. Mannic needs to be unreal to beat the Pats, IMO, because as a TEAM the Colts are not nearly as strong, top to bottom, as the Pats. Chargers lost for the same reason...when the chips were down they didn't have the playmakers or the coaching to win.

In fact, stealing a line from the Barenaked Ladies "Wind It Up" I could see Tony telling Marty:

"I was a baby when I learned to suck

But you have raised it to an art form"

so true crunch.

I am thoroughly convinced that instead of preparing for Sunday's game as he should, the Dung-man will be having his turd tickled by Peyton Manning, using the pole from Gordon Johncock's 1982 Indianapolis 500 checkered flag.

fkn femmes.

I think this will be a harder game for the Patriots then its seeming to be. For one, the Patriots have had the easiest road to the Championship. They beat the Jets, who 1) shouldn't have been there and 2) were almost all rookies and weak armed QBs but still the Jets hung in there for 55min and made them scared, not to mention it was at home. And then they barely sqeauked out a W against probably the worst possible way to play a game and trying to win, and almost did if it wasnt for Keading being unclutch....When ESPN can do a 'Top 10 plays that blew it for San Diego'....you shouldn't win by 3. While on the other hand, Indy played a mehh Cheifs team, but the D stopped em and then a good team in the Ravens and the D stopped em.

So when Im not saying this is in anyones favor, I think that it will be close but not a blowout favor to the Patriots

Don't doubt Belichick and Brady in the playoffs...please let last week be a lesson to you. Belichick knows how to get into Manning's head and Marvin is looking as vulnerable as ever. Addai will be a cakewalk compared to last week's challenge in LT, and their defense is looking better than it really is because of the decent offenses they've played.

I really wouldn't take Manning for granted this weekend. He's definitdely got the potential (and weapons) to beat the Pats.

Especially since they've already beaten the Colts this year. In Foxboro.

And especially since this game is in Indy. The defense is better indoors.

We don't lose to the same team twice in the same year. Peyton was horrid against the #1 defense, and geuss who he's playing this weekend (the #2) . The defense has gotten lucky with it's matchups, and I'll take Brady in a dome with the Pats on the road.

Really?

MLB: Red Sox

NBA: Celtics

NFL: A few different teams, I like the Jets and I like watching the Panthers but the Pats are always on so I end up watching them.

NHL: No interest

NCAA: I like BC, Florida, UCLA, and ND

You're full of s***.

The Pats have had a much tougher road than the Colts. The Colts beat a KC team that didn't even show up let alone deserve to even be there. They then beat a Ravens team with a pathetic offense. The pats on the other hand had to deal with a coach who knew them very well and a team that had superior talent.

The Chiefs and Jets are one in the same. Same records (I think, not 100% sure) and neither team was thought to pose much of a threat. The Ravens and Chargers are a tossup too. A lot of people thought, coming into the game that the Ravens were playing the best football. Also keep in mind that the Ravens beat the Chargers.
