That could certainly be true. You and I don't have access to the staff, we can't watch them throw and we don't know how well they're going to do. The management and FO will make this determination based on what their assessment of his health and the team's health.

 

That said, if they decided he needed a year at AAA I wouldn't argue with it. They should have a deep pitching staff.

 

agreed. The sox pitching staff looks damn good on the rotation end, assuming things work out. But they could probably do themselves good and maybe sign Tony Armas or someone of his ilk for protection in the event that rotation depth is needed past 5. Lester should not be rushed. Then next yr he and Hughes can battle each others the next big things in BOS-NY. I am pulling for the kid.
