Regardless, Enter Wily Mo in center. Its not like Otsuka sucks as a reliever. In his first 202 games in the majors he has posted a 2.43 ERA. He had a 2.11 ERA with 32 saves as the closer for Texas, with just a 1.67 ERA in Ameriquest Field. Would it have been that bad if Sox were able to nab him as the closer?

 

As Ive said before it is moot now since the Rangers signed Kenny Lofton.
