Why, does he pitch?

They didn't struggle at the DH position, and it didn't cost them much with Philly putting up a good portion of Thome's salary. That was the best lineup this year until Cano, Matsui, and Sheffield came back.

i was refering to the pissing contest these 2 had

runner on 3rd with no outs in 9th inning, Morneau jumps on 1st pitch, a liner to right field, no advance available for runner on 3rd.

3-2 final game, f***ing pitiful of a game. Santana pitched a gem of a game while the offense sputtered on 1st pitch outs, bad baserunning, and not being able to make productive outs. Can you even look in Santana's eyes, Twins' offense??

----------------------------------

Oh well, here's game 2 outs. Twins do have the edge in this one, pitching matchup wise anyway.

i hope Mauer isnt another player who can't handle the post season but he is young and tomorow is a new day. As it stands i believe the Twins have the best chance to beat the yankees but if they can't beat Oaklnad...

The A's with their pitching can beat the yanks. With Harden back that gives them Zito, Harden, Haren to go after NY.

It was Mauer's first post-season game....don't jump on him without seeing him in a few more post-seasons.

thats why i said tomorows a new day and that he was young ;)

the g'as always seem to win the 1st game of a series

their current series winless streak stands at 16 years

too bad they wont be seeing dana keiker this october

anyways

with all the twins pitching woes and santana outta the way theres really little chance that they can f*** this up now

Anyone not able to watch on TV ought to check out the new MLB Gameday Enhanced. This thing blows ESPN's Gamecast out of the water.

Yahoo box score says "M. Kotsay hit an inside the park home run to center".

Anyone see it? Is this real, or creative scorekeeping? That ballpark doesn't lend itself to inside the park HR's.

Tomorrow, injured Brad Radke vs Dan Haren...

Twins pitching has been great but its been accompanied by piss-poor hitting, lack of clutch hitting (no hits with RISP first 2 games), agressive baserunning & unusual agressive defense

A's 3 game sweep of the "fallen on their faces" Twins
