The 2006 GCL Red Sox won the title today beating the Dodgers 11-2 in Game 3. Its the first championship for the sox minor league affliates since the 1999 Augsuta Greenjackets won the SAL title.

 

After the game Ryan Kalish, Mike Jones, Jon Egan and Kris Negron were headed to Lowell to play for the Spinners. It also looks like Chih-Hsien Chiang and Felix Doubrant also will go to Lowell as well.

Capellan pitched really well too, I'm surprised he didn't go on to Lowell.

A very talented team Egan, Jones, Place, Kalish, Doubront, Capellan, Negron....lots of young good talent. How about Mike Jones going 5-5 in the game.

Carlos Fernandez-Olivia and Chih-Shien Chiang as well. Mike Jones had a great year but hes also way too old for the GCL. He's 21 when most of the kids there are 18, 19 and some 20.
