during tito's interview with cervasio last night he said that lester was in a lot of pain and they didn't think he would be able to make his start. he got to the park real early and got stretched out and was able to go....tito said "good thingn too or we would have been in a world of hurt"

 

let's hope he get's better because we don't need any more pitchers going down---now let's just hope manram's knee is fine as he is being "further evaluated" this morning

Manny Ramirez is scheduled to undergo an MRI Thursday on his injured right knee and hamstring.

"His right knee was really bothering him, which is not surprising," manager Terry Francona said. "Any time you’re battling a hammy with a knee problem, it directly affects that." Ramirez's injury situation may eventually lead to David Ortiz playing some first base, but it doesn't look like Manny will be back in the lineup, even at designated hitter, for at least a few days.
