Terrible news for them, good for ChiSox and Tigg's

...and most of all, good for the Red Sox, I don't mean to make it sound like I'm happy he is hurt, but it helps us, so:thumbsup:

Well this could go a few ways for the Twins. 1) It's a minor injury, Liriano only misses a few starts, and as long as Minnesota doesnt pack it in they stay in the hunt until he gets back. 2) It's bad, Liriano is done for the season and the Twins struggle down the stretch and slowly fade. 3) The scariest scenario, is that part 1 is true, and that Matt Garza is as good in the bigs as he was in the minors. Then the Twins will have three dominant starters in September (and maybe October). Brad Radke as a #4 isn't a bad setup. Don't count the Twins out yet. They still have some games left against the Chisox, and also one more series against us. I would wait until more is known about Liriano and until after our series with the Twins before I rule them out.

the twins would be wise to tread very very lightly with this boy

i,we,anyone would hate and i mean hate to see this club in a 5 game set with santana and liriano healthy and an experienced albeit beatable brad radke who pitched well last nite

they seem to hit all the time at home

they always seem to struggle on the road

give them an oppurtunity in a 5game series and anything can happen

ask billy beane

with Mornoue (err however you spell his name) Mauer, Liriano, Santana, and if they keep Hunter (free agent in offseason no ? ) and Stewert they have a pretty solid team right there with more youth coming up

There's talk that he might not come back this season, and their "savior" Matt Garza has been disappointing so far. Things aren't looking promising in Minnesota.

Garza made 1 start. Should give him some more time. Not everyone can be Jered Weaver.

I agree but he's looking like he'll have more of a Jon Lester/Chad Billingsley season than a Weaver/Liriano start. Not bad, but he won't make anyone forget about Liriano while he's on the DL.
