BTW, has anyone noticed that Rudy has an ERA below 4?

No. With the way he's been pitching most of the season, it's tough to see the semi-positive numbers.

Oh well, at least as it stands now, Papi is the go ahead run and he's coming up 3rd next inning

Game over. Sox win.

4 games against the Royals.. the Red Sox have outscored them just 11-8

And if Ortiz wins it for us, and the score doesn't change, it will be another 1 run victory against the lowly Royals. It really is depressing and unsatisfying.

So if we lose this game and the Yankees lose there game....that actually works against us because both Minnesota and Chicago gain ground in the wildcard while we don't gain anything in the division.....

It works against us because we lose. We lose = working against us no matter how you spin it

Not only that it would be the 4th straight come from behind win and last time we had won a game by more than 1 run was on July 25. If the D-Rays & Royals are playing them like this, how does that bode for their stretch of mid August to early September?

That was my next point. Needing 9th inning 3-run comebacks in games against the Royals and Guardians, and having abysmal showings against the Rays, is absolutely pathetic.

Timlin would be better than Tavarez. Sure, he's been struggling, but at least he can do well. Tavarez is a s*** show waiting to happen. I've always wondered why Tito does this. We still have a chance to win and he brings in a mop up reliever. It's so disheartening.

Oh wow Tavarez is better than Seanez? Why not use a good pitcher when we are losing' date=' it helps us stay in the game.[/quote']

What GOOD pitcher do you want to use?? Theyre whole bullpen sucks right now, except for Papelbon.

Well, I should edit my post but I'll just say it here. Anyone would be better than Tavarez right now. If the whole bullpen is sucking, use the least sucking-est pitcher. It doesn't get worse than Tavarez.

I would have been better than Tavares and I cannot even lift my arm over my head.
