The only thing denied is beckett having a sub 5 ERA. It doesn't matter where they are, he still gives up a lot of homers, and thats the point of the nickname.

No s*** sherlock. But, very few of them end up on Landsdowne St., so your nickname isn't very well thought out, and that is why your attempt at wit failed. Try to keep up.

Can we just lock this thread? What Theo has done is Boston has been great. I can't wait to see what guys like Hansen, Lester, Delcarmen, Papelbon, Van Buren, ect. do for us over the next several years. As far as this year goes, it's not over yet. We are still in the playoff race, even with the way we have played lately. It's not Theo's fault that guys like Nixon, Wake and Varitek get injured, either. In my eyes, he's done a pretty good job going out and getting players to fill those holes.

I will after you stop splitting hairs. I'll say it again, balls that land on landsdowne are homers, he gives up a lot of homers. See the connection? It doesn't mean they all have to be at home to get the point across.

wow. You can really tell the bandwagon fans from the real fans when times are tough. You, my friend, are an idiot.
If your definition of a bandwagon fan is someone that has traveled thousands of miles to watch the Red Sox over 39 years through thick and thin, someone who stuck with them through the Butch Hobson crack-pipe years, then you are an ignoramus. (idiot is being overused lately) Someone who roots for and supports the FO despite their obvious poor performance is a ball washer or a groupie.

Obviously, I got the connection, how else would my response have been about the right subject? Again, try and keep up.

If he gave up a bunch of them at home and to LF, it would have relevance. However, considering the HR is the most celebrated and idolized baseball event with hundreds to thousands of different ways of referencing it, your nickname fell quite short of being witty. If that's the best you can do, that's a shame. I would expect more from someone who trolls as much as you do. Perhaps I overestimated your talents.

As long as the ashats with the pink hats fill the place, we, the diehards, are toast. We will have nothing to look forwar to but teams that are competitive until a June swoon or maybe they will last a month or two longer, but by September we'll need football to occupy our time.

BTW: The last time I was at a game there was a pink hat sitting behind me asking her friend why the seats in left field were so high. I had to get up in the middle of an inning and go to the bathroom to throw cold water on my face. As long as those people go to the games, the businessmen in the suits will make sure that we don't do what it takes to win, and the Yankees will be eating our lunch for a long time.

i had tix friday nite and sat afternoon

the sox give up 7 runs in the 7th friday and the stadium breaks out into the wave in the 8th

saturday

after the yanks blew it open in the 6th

2 fukin queers with their pinky fingers in each others pockets,

were doing the slow bump to journeys

""dont stop believin""

ive been to perhaps 250-300 sox games in my life

ive left early maybe 4-5 times, once my wife collapsed from the heat.once she was covered in blankets in the cold and rain of april(shes out, never again to be invited)

saturday i left in the 7th rather than maiming the 2 **********s who were dancing in front of me or commiting jihad in the press box which was my real intent

on behalf of real fans everywhere and my 10 year old son

i apologize, making my kid a sox fan is like forcing him to watch a violent R rated movie with an unhappy ending

(except for those 10days in 04)

faaaaaaaaaaaak

what the faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak

Don't worry about your son. You couldn't stop him from being a Sox fan if you tried. My son was 10 years old in 1996 when the Yankees were winning the WS. I live in NY. I felt bad for my son because all of his friends were reveling in the Yankees while the Red Sox were steaming pile of s***. I told him that he could root for the Yankees, that he should have a good time with his friends and enjoy rooting for the Yankees. I told him that he didn't have to root for the Red Sox, because I did. I cautioned him that the Sox were certain to always break your heart. He looked at me and very seriously said "I can't root for the Yankees. I hate them." It was one of my proudest moments as a father. We shared the heart break of 2003, and my heart broke for the boy, but in 2004 we shared the "Ultimate " victory that made all the past suffering go away because it was so perfect.

So, don't sweat it. It might take years but the pink hats and the posers will eventually go away, the diehards will retake Fenway and this team will get back to concentrating on putting out a winning team.
