Well the Yanks wouldn't trade A-Rod for Manny so who cares.

I really dont think the Sox would do it either, because Manny is only 34 and is still 1-2-3 Rbi men in baseball. He was been the the best offensive player for the sox since 01. He still probally has 4 seasons of 35+, 120+ seasons. Screw AROD, Extension Gonzo!

Also Manny great Postseason hitter, Arod shrinks like my junk in ice cold water during the playoffs.

Postseason OPS:

Rodriguez - .936

Ramirez - .845

With all the talk about A-ROD baybe being traded, would you trade Manny for him during the offseason?

Not only would I not want him, but I think it would be impossible to do. FIrst you don't trade to or from the Yankees. It just doesn't happen. Second With all the bad blood and crap that has gone on through the last few years, I just don't see the Red Sox or Arod wanting anything to do with each other.

Im talking basically the last two years with New York. I know he was good with Seatle, and by the way could you give me those same numbers Arod with NY and Manny with Boston?

dont get me wrong i dont want him on the team but im pretty sure A-Rod and Papi are good friends and that Teck and A-Rod aren't on bad terms or so i read during the WBC so i think theres no bad blood between the club houses

Sorry, that fails to strike me as relevant. You said, quite graphically, that A-Rod was a poor postseason hitter. The fact that he has almost an .100 point edge on OPS over Ramirez is clearly proof that the opposite is true.

Anyway, Rodriguez' hit .320 had a .457 OBP and hit 3 HR's for the Yankees. Ramirez' numbers are slightly better then Rodriguez. Rodriguez is just a scapegoat for Yankee fans to blame the fact that they haven't won a championship. It should be the pitching staff, but a person of Rodriguez's stature is an easier target.

Okay how many of these hits came when the yankees where already killing the other team like game 3 of the 04 ALCS and then when they need him like say. . .the last 4 games of the ALCS he goes 2-17 or w/e it was. . .somthing awfull. Stats dont tell you everything

Alex Rodriguez is a head case. It has nothing to do with pressure on the field or getting boo'ed by tourists in Yankee Stadium. (I say tourists because there is no such thing as 'Yankees Fans', only 'tourists').

The moment that the last out was recorded in game 7 of the ALCS in 2004 was the moment that Alex Rodriguez became a broken man. He will live through that moment over and over again, every day, for the rest of his life. He will never recover.

If he ever winds up in a Boston uniform, his psychiatrist will probably triple the hourly rate.

When people hit rock bottom, they don't win MVP awards. (Or, are actually a tougher out in the clutch then Ortiz in '05)

The bias in this thread is absolutely nausating.

Rodriguez had a game tying double in the 10th inning against the Twins during the ALDS.

He hit a bomb in the 4th inning of Game 4 to take the lead against the Red Sox. Besides, no one else on the Yankees hit a lick Games 4-7, why is it Rodriguez's fault?

(Stats don't tell you everything, but they do tell you that Rodriguez is a superior postseason hitter then Ramirez.)

All im saying, since Manny has come to the Sox, he has been a much better postseason hitter, than his up and down postseason stats with Cleavland

How convenient.

You take out the worst statistics of one player, and suddenly it looks better!

Back to the orginal point. If you can get a gold-glove SS, who has an OPS of over .950. You take it. Those kind of players are rare to find.
