Tavarez to Rockies?

The Red Sox are reportedly in trade talks with Colorado to do a swap of Tavarez for lefty Ray King. Tavarez's contract is holding up the talks. Personally Id much rather see them give them Rudy Seanez. Before this, they had a chance when Chicago asked them for Seanez. Boston instead gave them Riske in exchange for Javier Lopez.

 

Still though... Ray King has been struggling this season in the NL

King's WHIP against lefties is 1.08 and his era against lefties is 1.50.

id rather trade Tavarez, Seanez and Tavarez both suck but Seanez contract is up after this year, Tavarez still has another year at 3mil and can garuntee another year with 125 appearances in 06 and 07 or 65 in 07. Seanez and King are both FAs after this year assuming their option is not picked up. King can provide a good lefty in hte pen at the cost of a crappy MR so im all for it.

Trade Seanez. Tavarez has been decent lately.

Nope...trade Tavarez for King....the Red Sox would have more use for King.

 

Another player the Red Sox should look at is Mike MacDougal who I believe is going to be available from Kansas City. Perhaps we could get Redman and MacDougal for a Dunkin Donuts coffee.
