Check out his lame defense of himself not wearing a helmet. Hey Ben, stop making excuses ok? It was dumb. And forgetting to wear your seatbelt is NOT the same as forgetting your bike helmet. And yes if you don't wear your seat belt, you are someone who doesn't wear their seatbelt.

That's just lame. Hell you ain't even the QB of a SB winning team. That honor should go to Randel-El :D

Thank goodness my Jints got Eli instead of a true knucklehead like you

Roethlisberger was cited for not wearing a helmet when the accident happened.

"That day I wasn't, I forgot it. I literally forgot it," he said. "You know there are times that, people that have been making a big deal for the last couple years about me riding first of all, and then me riding without a helmet, but it's one of those things that I ride with a helmet also. I do a little bit of both. If you don't wear a seat belt every time you ride in the car should I label you as a person who doesn't wear a seat belt? And unfortunately I happened to not have it on that day because I forgot it in the basement."

Roethlisberger said he didn't know if he would ride a motorcycle again.

So based on your statements I should believe that you have never forgotten anything in your life? ... Yeah I thought so.

Oh yeah good thing you guys didn't draft the youngest QB to ever win a SB. Good thing you didn't get the kid who got to 20 wins faster than any QB ever. Good thing you didn't get the only QB to beat undefeated teams 2 weeks in a row. I mean why would you want a rookie QB who took him team to the AFC Championship in his first year? Remember what happened in Eli's first year? I'm not sure that I remember all the details, but I do remember him joining a team that was in the playoff hunt, and turning them into a complete joke. Seriously though, who wouldn't rather have a guy who got drafted in the first round because of his last name? Why wouldn't you want the 3rd member of a football family that never wins instead of a SB winning QB? I'm not sure why you'd want a guy with a complete game, when you could get a kid who isn't ready for the NFL, and clearly(especially against the Panthers in the playoffs) is scared to take a hit. I'd rather have Tim Couch than Eli ... At least Couch doesn't run away and fall on the ground when defenders got past his offensive line.

The guy made a mistake. It's over. No need to worry though. You'll get to talk about him again later in the year when he's taking his team further than Eli is taking the GMen ........ again.

Steelers didn't win the Super Bowl because of Ben Roethlisberger. The guy threw for 123 yards and 2 INT's in the Super Bowl -- so just stop with that nonsense. That won that game despite Ben Roethlisberger with a little help from the stripes. The Steelers could've won that Super Bowl if Eli was their QB. Or hell, any slightly-better-than-average QB. Let's not kid ourselves, he pulled a Manning in that game -- the Steelers just don't rely on him and never have.

completely agree with that. If that was Brady playing he wouldn't have made that game that close.

I love how you guys say we could throw any average QB in there an win ... yet any game not started by Ben Roethlisberger since his first start has resulted in a Steeler loss. Did you happen to see the games last year that Ben missed? I'd say Tommy Maddox and Batch are average if not above average QBs, and neither of them won a game with the same team. Ben is a leader, and he leads the Steelers no matter his age. When we do not have his leadership on the field we are not as good of a team.

Also if you're going to make those claims then lets take a bunch of Pedro's wins away ... cause anyone could win with the offense we had.

What about the fact that you guys won a playoff game under Drew Bledsoe after Brady took over ... does that mean that any average QB could win with the Pats too?

Brady would have still beaten the hapless steelers even if he didn't get hurt in that game. The steelers were cocky and overrated and were punched in the face by a better team.

That wasn't the question. I said a mediocre QB came in and won a game with Brady's team. Does that mean the same applies to Brady as does to Ben?

BTW insulting the Steelers doesn't bother me. We have more SBs than your team, and a more recent SB, so go f*** yourself. :)

The Steelers won with their phenomenal defense and a QB who didn't f*** up that much. Roethlisberger is a fundamentally sound quarterback, but he reminds me more of a Trent Dilfer SB Champion QB as opposed to a Brett Favre.

That's a really good way to put it. Big Ben is better than Dilfer but it's a good analogy.

Is Roethlisberger the best QB in the game? No. He makes his share of mistakes. But the fact is he is one of the big reasons the Steelers got that far, and bad call or not, he did score a touchdown for his team (let's not kid ourselves if not on that play the ball eventually would have ended up in Seattle's endzone). Let's also recall how Roethlisberger saved a touchdown with his tackle against the Colts. On pure talent alone neither Big Ben nor Brady are even probably in the top five amongst QBs. But the fact of the matter is they both win, even as more talented guys like Manning, Vick, etc. choke year after year.

What do you mean on talent alone?

What kind of talents does it take to make a good QB? Smarts? Instinct? Accuracy? Leadership?

Brady has all 4 and is head and shoulders above everyone else. What he lacks is the 75 yard bomb, but then again almost everyone else lacks the instincts and leadership that he has.
